Body Mask & Wrap
Like a facial mask, a body mask is a product with a thick texture applied all over the body for therapeutic effect. The service usually begins with exfoliation, followed by the application of a mask then finally, the body is wrapped in sheets of Mylar or Bandages. The wrap raises the body temperature which increases circulation and opens pores for better absorption of a body wrap product and its benefits. What is an Infrared Body Wrap?
Infrared is essentially the band of light perceived as heat. It can’t be viewed with the naked eye, but we can feel it from its heat. FIR or Far Infrared Rays heat without heating the air in between, through a process called a conversion. Those rays are separated into three levels depending on wavelengths; 0.76-1.5 microns near waves, 1.5-5.6 microns middle waves, and 5.6-1000 microns far waves. Only FIR can penetrate organic substances, including the human body, 2-3 inches deep to create a uniform heating effect. It is known as ‘chi’ energy in humans, also released from sunlight.
The intensity of heating energy produced by humans constantly varies. When this energy is high, we feel healthy and are better able to fight ailments. Lower levels make us more susceptible to diseases, premature aging, and a myriad of other problems. Exposing yourself to such heat using infrared body wraps can make up for the decline in its intensity of it and restore the organism's function to its optimal level.

A hot stone massage is a form of Thermotherapy (heat) treatment in which smooth basalt stones are applied to the body in combination with massage techniques. The varying sizes and shapes used in conjunction with massage bring about relaxation, relief to sore muscles, and ease chronic or stress-related conditions. A hot stone massage is both deeply relaxing and therapeutic at the same time. Both the heat and weight of the stones help loosen tight muscles and soothe trigger points in the body. Muscles are relieved without deep tissue work as the heat penetrates the areas needing release. “Deep Tissue” massage is essentially carried out without the need for excessive pressure or causing the client to increase pain to achieve the same results from a deep tissue massage treatment.

The Himalayan salt stone massage is similar to a hot stone massage, but smooth Himalayan salt stones are used instead. The Himalayan salt stones tend to hold heat very well and provide additional benefits including a light exfoliation.
When the salt crystals are heated, they release negative ions into the surroundings, which bind to free radicals. Free radicals are unstable and highly reactive in the body, otherwise known as oxidation, which in turn leads to stress, cell damage, disease, and accelerated aging.
